If you are under 65, you are eligible to enroll in an Aetna plan if you meet the following requirement:You are a retiree or a dependent of a retiree who is no longer a full-time or part-time employee.
If you are 65 and over, you are eligible to enroll in an Aetna plan if you meet all of the following requirements:You are a retiree or a dependent of a retiree who is no longer a full-time or part-time employee.For Medicare Advantage plans with or without prescription drug coverage: You and your eligible dependents must be entitled to Medicare Part A, enrolled in Medicare Part B and continue to pay your Part B premium and Part A, if applicable.For non-Medicare supplement plans: You and your eligible dependents must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.You can enroll in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) if you are entitled to Medicare Part A and/or enrolled in Part B and continue to pay your Part B premium (and Part A, if applicable) if not otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another third party.Your dependent(s) must be eligible for Medicare to be enrolled in the Aetna Medicare Plan. If your dependent(s) are not eligible for Medicare, they may be able to enroll in a coverage option specifically for those not eligible for Medicare.
